The Raw Materials

Exquisite raw materials are the secret of success for Sanatio Naturalis. We only use the highest-quality ingredients for our products and we place great importance on the origins of our raw materials. We travel the world in search of plants and oils. We collaborate with our preferred producers from all over the world.

This delicate, powerful flower is cultivated in Bulgaria. It is the queen of flowers. Farmers handpick the blossoms just after the morning dew and before sunrise. The petals are distilled to extract the rose oil and rosewater.

The rose has been revered since antiquity for its variety of beauty benefits. Four tonnes of rose petals are needed to obtain just 1 kg of essential oil.

Rose is a gentle but powerful aid, lifting the spirits and calming anxiety. It imparts a sense of security, wellbeing and of being loved.

It is cooling, soothing, nourishing and naturally anti-inflammatory with extraordinary anti-aging and healing effects.

Zesty, fresh, fruity, our Lemon harvested in Sicily, in southern Italy, boasts a unique and sunny quality. Every lemon is expertly harvested by hand, cut at the stalk using special hand-secateurs, ensuring its optimum condition. We work directly with the producer to create the highest-quality essential oil.

Comprehensive analyses and quality controls are performed, including:

  • Gas-chromatography
  • Optical rotation
  • Refraction index
  • Density

Our lavender is grown at an altitude of 1400 meters in a rare and protected natural environment: the Verdon Valley, in the heart of the Alpes de Haute Provence. Also referred to as "blue gold", lavender is the soul of Provence.

Our Appellation D'Origine Contrôlée denotes the very highest quality production. Traceability is unassailable with the guarantee of origin and traditional quality.

It requires 180 kg of flowers to obtain just 1 kg of essential oil.

Our essential oils are analysed and pass a double series of tests - both analytical and olfactory.
